Molten Aluminum Refining Plant operation
(1) Preheated ingots, high-quality recycled materials, intermediate alloys, and finally alloying elements are added to the preheated crucible.
(2) Strictly control the temperature of aluminum alloy smelting, only the right temperature can obtain high quality alloy liquid to avoid overheating. If the temperature is too high, it will increase the oxidation loss of various elements in the alloy, causing changes in the chemical composition of the alloy; if the temperature is too low, the chemical composition of the alloy will be uneven, and the oxide inclusions and gases in the alloy will not be easily discharged. The physical and chemical properties of the alloy are degraded, which affects the casting performance.
(3) Strictly control the smelting time, the operation should be rapid, to reduce the alloy suction and oxidation inclusions, reduce the burning loss of alloying elements, and avoid the influence on the chemical composition of the alloy.

(4) The main purpose of aluminum alloy refining is to remove gas and non-metallic inclusions in the melt and to uniform alloy composition. Refining is an extremely important process in smelting. The refining agent should be properly selected, and the amount of addition should be controlled (usually adding 015% and 01% of the alloy mass) to grasp the refining temperature. The refining temperature is generally controlled at 700,720. In the process of refining, use a bell jar to press the refining agent into batches about 2/3 of the surface of the melt (do not press it into the bottom of the crucible), and do it slowly and clockwise. The speed should be slow and the movement should be smooth to avoid The metal liquid is agitated a lot to prevent an increase in hydrogen content and entrapment of inclusions.
(5) The purpose of the deterioration of aluminum alloy is to refine the grains and improve the performance of the casting. The modifier should be preheated first. The main control point is that the deterioration temperature generally does not exceed 740. The deterioration time is generally 10 minutes. The amount of the modifier added is usually 110% 112% by mass of the alloy liquid. The method of operation should be in place. After alloy refining, it should be poured as soon as possible. Sand casting should be controlled within 40min. Metal casting should be controlled within 2h. Otherwise, refining and deterioration should be carried out. The refining agent added during re-refining is about 012% of the alloy quality.
(6) In order to prevent the aluminum alloy from splashing, the melting site should be kept dry.
